ABOUT:
Marley Townsend is an experimental filmmaker, game developer, sound designer, installation artist, and writer, and is an alum of California Institute of the Arts (Film/Video '20). Marley was lead Admin for the CalArts Game Maker's Club, President of the Coalition for Disability Rights and co-radio host for KCIA's Hit Box while attending CalArts, and a recipient of the Provost Merit Scholarship for the 2019-2020 school year. Marley works in sound design for animation and live action, foley for animation and live action, editing/post production, video installation, and visual effects, as well as game development work in producing, narrative design, level design, and writing, sound design, and creative directing. Marley's independent work is mostly directing and writing experimental narratives and documentaries, games, and video installation work, as well as research-based projects on Internet history, social media/social inequalities, data art, family history/genealogy.
